Haha, they're not implemented as "shadows"; it's just literally the same lines drawn all over again, except with solid gray and the y-coordinate zeroed out. Keepin it simple! 😎

If you want to save on vertical space, there's a tabs wrapper for <details> which you can use like this:

Nice! Looks great. Only problem with that wrapper is cell dependencies since particle configuration reinstantiates texture and buffers, while display parameters is just runtime shader uniforms.
