This worksheet helps you compare measurements taken before and after changing one phone setting. Enter your own download, upload and latency readings below to see the direction and size of the change. ## Set up a fair comparison Use the same phone, connection, test service and test server for both rounds. For Wi-Fi, keep the phone in the same place. For mobile data, avoid comparing different locations or changing between Wi-Fi and cellular during the experiment. Pause downloads and keep background activity similar. Take three readings before the change and three after it. Separate readings with commas or spaces. The calculator uses the median of each group so that one unusually high or low reading has less influence. A single reading also works, but repeat measurements make the comparison more useful. ## Change one thing at a time Choose a small, reversible change such as moving closer to the router, reconnecting to the network or checking whether a VPN affects your connection. Record exactly what you changed. If you alter several settings together, the results cannot tell you which one mattered. For phone-specific troubleshooting steps, Idraaak explains [خطوات تحسين اتصال الهاتف](https://idraaak.com/speed-up-android-without-software/) in Arabic, including ways to investigate weak reception and background network use. ## Read the result carefully Higher download and upload throughput can help with large transfers. Lower latency can help with responsive calls or games, although latency alone does not describe stability. These metrics can move in different directions, so the worksheet reports each one separately. An improvement in one short test does not establish a permanent gain or prove that a setting caused it. Repeat the comparison at another time before drawing a conclusion. Phone settings cannot increase the speed limit of your internet plan. This worksheet calculates differences from readings you supply. It does not run a speed test, change phone settings or send your readings to a measurement service. Values start empty; use the labeled demo button only if you want to see how the calculator works. 33:T1dff,(() => { const root = document.createElement('section'); root.className = 'idraaak-speed'; root.innerHTML = `

Compare your readings

Enter one to nine readings per field. Use commas or spaces between repeated measurements. Throughput is in Mbps; latency is in milliseconds.

Ready for your measurements.

Median of each group; percentages use the before median as the baseline. For latency, a decrease is an improvement. A zero baseline has no defined percentage change. Results are calculated in this page.
