The metaphor of a dandelion is used to demonstrate the groups of donations affiliated with large chapter-driven organizations like United Way and Habitat for Humanity, while also allowing for grants going to the many unique individual organizations. The metaphor also incorporates both definitions of \"yield\" - dandelions yield their fate to the caprice of the wind, and the seeds yield abundant growth. Data comes from the Yield Giving website. \n\nThe visual inspiration is from many sources, including at least subconsciously, Valentina D'Efilippo's Poppy Fields.
