Observable supports [feeds](https://beta.observablehq.com/@mbostock/changelog-2018-05-07#feeds-) with its own API. Unfortunately Observable does not provide a **subscribe** button on your profile & notebook page. 😢 If you want to use Observable as your blog, (like me!!) you need to create own subscribe button on your notebook. This notebook provides bit more simpler way to create your Observable notebook subscribe button. (with icon${icon()}) First, import this notebook. ~~~js import {icon} from "@chitacan/rss" ~~~ And put it wherever you want. ~~~js md\`my awesome content \${icon()}\` ~~~ With some option(\`{text, size, url}\`), you can customize it. * ${icon({ text: '@mbostock', url: 'https://api.observablehq.com/documents/@mbostock.rss' })} * ${icon({ text: '@jashkenas', url: 'https://api.observablehq.com/documents/@jashkenas.rss' })} * ${icon({ text: '@tmcw', url: 'https://api.observablehq.com/documents/@tmcw.rss' })} * ${icon({ text: '@observablehq', url: 'https://api.observablehq.com/documents/@observablehq.rss' })} * ${icon({ text: '@d3', url: 'https://api.observablehq.com/documents/@d3.rss' })} for collection pass (\`{user, collection}\`). * ${icon({ user: 'd3', collection: 'd3-scale' })} Happy subscribing 📰 `33:[] 30:{"id":"0db772951ed2f762","slug":"rss","title":"RSS","thumbnail":"af2eb81074b6347b229dd3cc8f54915554a362fc677045baf596e6b2113089f5","access_level":"public","create_time":"$D2018-11-30T08:54:36.677Z","update_time":"$D2020-01-06T19:09:47.926Z","view_time":null,"first_public_time":"$D2018-11-30T10:17:09.397Z","has_unpublished_edits":null,"fork":false,"stars":5,"starred":false,"owner":{"type":"team","id":"56a62604da372f41","login":"chitacan","name":"KyungYeol Kim","avatar_url":"https://avatars-next.observableusercontent.com/ebe2bc4618021a6392db1d0169bbe2af3520871861d6f0659384f97da78200ce","tier":"starter_2024"},"version":153,"publish_version":153,"role":null,"authored":false,"authors":[{"type":"individual","id":"e4a45eb07cd703f7","login":"chitacan","name":"KyungYeol Kim","avatar_url":"https://avatars-next.observableusercontent.com/ebe2bc4618021a6392db1d0169bbe2af3520871861d6f0659384f97da78200ce","tier":null}],"members":[{"type":"individual","id":"e4a45eb07cd703f7","login":"chitacan","name":"KyungYeol Kim","avatar_url":"https://avatars-next.observableusercontent.com/ebe2bc4618021a6392db1d0169bbe2af3520871861d6f0659384f97da78200ce","tier":null,"role":"editor"}],"comments":[],"custom_thumbnail":false,"trashed":false,"lapsed":null,"subscribed":null,"forks":3,"collection":{"id":"be21d50d7f8ad100","slug":"tools","title":"Tools","owner":{"id":"56a62604da372f41","login":"chitacan","name":"KyungYeol Kim"}},"type":"notebook","body":{"titling":"auto","title":"RSS","cells":[{"id":0,"value":"$32","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":4,"value":"icon = (opt = {}) => {\n const { user: user, collection: collection, ...rest } = opt;\n const _opt = Object.assign(\n {},\n {\n text: user && collection ? `@${user}/collection` : '',\n size: 15,\n url: feedURL(user, collection)\n },\n rest\n );\n return html`${_opt.text}`;\n}","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":18,"value":"feedURL = (user, collection) => {\n if (!user || user == '') {\n const url = new URL(location.href);\n [user] = url.hostname.split('.');\n }\n\n if (collection) {\n return `https://api.observablehq.com/collection/@${user}/${collection}.rss`;\n }\n return `https://api.observablehq.com/documents/@${user}.rss`;\n}","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":131,"value":"md`*Clip art courtesy [ClipArt ETC](https://etc.usf.edu/clipart/)*`","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"}],"files":"$W33","stdlib":"1"}} 31:"$30:body"
