Data is sourced from Taiwan's Ministry of the Interior and automatically processed to TopoJSON at a scale of 1:10,000. [Github](https://github.com/dkaoster/taiwan-atlas) ## What is this for? This collection of TopoJSON files allows you to quickly use Taiwan's map in web graphics and other places. For more information on how to use TopoJSON, see the [command line cartography](https://medium.com/@mbostock/command-line-cartography-part-1-897aa8f8ca2c) tutorials. ## What is MercatorTW? MercatorTW is a custom, mercator based projection for Taiwan and Kinmen, Lienchiang, and Penghu. Additionally, MercatorTW translates the locations of Taiwan's outer islands in order to provide a more readable map. This is a d3-geo projection that is exported from this library and can be used as follows: \`\`\` import mercatorTw from 'taiwan-atlas'; \`\`\` ` } }33:[] 30:{"id":"432bd419e26ae143","slug":"taiwan-map","title":"Taiwan Map TopoJSON","thumbnail":"cf773a1b0dd7503d07ccf3a035216b080a64c2ae27c3fbf53cf2440139b2ee68","access_level":"public","create_time":"$D2020-12-01T13:30:26.659Z","update_time":"$D2021-09-19T16:13:40.822Z","view_time":null,"first_public_time":"$D2020-12-05T06:44:07.005Z","has_unpublished_edits":null,"fork":false,"stars":4,"starred":false,"owner":{"type":"team","id":"f0480f693b052c0e","login":"dkaoster","name":"Daniel Kao","avatar_url":"https://avatars-next.observableusercontent.com/fc2a680e9df101d9ad07dcd29fe1dab019a14b0c0d0605bb06d690279e453dd6","tier":"starter_2024"},"version":148,"publish_version":null,"role":null,"authored":false,"authors":[{"type":"individual","id":"2984589d082968dc","login":"dkaoster","name":"Daniel Kao","avatar_url":"https://avatars-next.observableusercontent.com/fc2a680e9df101d9ad07dcd29fe1dab019a14b0c0d0605bb06d690279e453dd6","tier":null}],"members":[{"type":"individual","id":"2984589d082968dc","login":"dkaoster","name":"Daniel Kao","avatar_url":"https://avatars-next.observableusercontent.com/fc2a680e9df101d9ad07dcd29fe1dab019a14b0c0d0605bb06d690279e453dd6","tier":null,"role":"editor"}],"comments":[],"custom_thumbnail":false,"trashed":false,"lapsed":null,"subscribed":null,"forks":4,"collection":null,"type":"notebook","body":{"titling":"auto","title":"Taiwan Map TopoJSON","cells":[{"id":16,"value":"{\n switch (lang) {\n case '中文':\n return md`# 台灣地圖 TopoJSON`\n case 'English':\n return md`# Taiwan Map TopoJSON`\n }\n}","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":10,"value":"viewof lang = select({\n title: \"Read in\",\n options: [\"English\", \"中文\"]\n})","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":0,"value":"$32","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":49,"value":"map = html``","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":101,"value":"md`---`","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":6,"value":"import { select } from \"@jashkenas/inputs\"","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":38,"value":"tw = d3.json('https://unpkg.com/taiwan-atlas@2021.9.20/villages-mercator-10t.json')","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":30,"value":"path = d3.geoPath()","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":26,"value":"topojson = require(\"topojson-client@3\")","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":23,"value":"d3 = require('d3');","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"}],"files":"$W33","stdlib":"1"}} 31:"$30:body"
