This is cool - can you display the numerical value of the velocity as you change the phase shift? Maybe even calculate the max and min velocity through a phase shift of 365 days . Label the time units....

The more you can keep the y-axis constant, the easier it will be to see how the trend line changes as you play with the sliders. I know some sliders can change the max range needed, so a little tricky...
