"rule" is helpful. How about changing it to a neutral color such as grey and increasing it opacity to 0.8 or more to avoid seeing the other side for easier navigation

Could we add an outline of the area on the surface to help user orientation even more

Features like topography, volcanoes, earthquakes, and faults could help a lot to understand some of the anomalies, particularly those extending to the surface. Could we add these? I understand that with a transparent sphere that will be confusing but if users can turn them on and off with a checkbox, they would be useful. We can limit the display of these features to the area of the model which may help. Thanks

To facilitate 3D visualization, I recommend drawing the following lines in 3D (multiple points?): 1. From (longitude slice, min(latitude), depth_slice) to (longitude slice, max(latitude), depth_slice) 2. From (min(longitude), latitude slice, depth_slice) to (max(longitude), latitude slice, depth_slice 3. From (longitude slice, latitude slice, min(depth)) to (longitude slice, latitude slice, max(depth))
