### Envelope Sensitivity A detailed parametric analysis has been conducted on the baseline design as discussed above, to understand the sensitivity of various envelope characteristics on building energy use. The figure below presents these results with the horizontal axes showing incremental changes in the studied parameter, and the vertical axes showing the impact of these changes on building TEDI or building CEDI (selectable from the dropdown). The energy in this case have been calculated for the baseline building design using envelope parameters and lighting values from SB-10 Division 3. The energy-end use components in this case have been calculated for the basis of design using envelope parameters and lighting values as per the design intent. Energy sources are aligned on the left side of the graphic, while energy sinks (conduction losses, equipment gains, etc.) are aligned on the right side. The total energy use intensity (EUI) of the design is approximately ${formatEUI_SI_IP(297)} (assuming COPs of 4 for heating and 5 for cooling). The load components on the right show the key drivers of energy use. Solar gains form the largest load component, constituting ~60% of the total cooling load. In terms of heating, the majority of the load results from window conduction losses followed by outside air heating.\n\n
