## Annexe A - Les 17 équipes de Recherche du projet GÉODIA ### Les équipes impliquées au LSCE – UP Saclay * GEOTRAC (GEOchronologie, TRAceurs, ArChéométrie, 18 permanents) développe la géochronologie 14C, U-Th-Pa et la géochimie organique, isotopique et élémentaire pour i- replacer les événements marquants de l’histoire de la Terre et de l'évolution de l'homme et des pratiques dans un cadre chronologique absolu ; ii- comprendre et mieux contraindre les processus géochimiques régissant les changements environnementaux actuels et passés et leur conséquence sur les écosystèmes. Expertises : géochronologie & géochimie isotopique et élémentaire (spectromètres de masse: ECHoMICADAS (14C), LA-MC-ICPMS, ICPMS-TQ, EA & GC-IRMS (matière organique indifférenciée et biomarqueurs moléculaires – 2D, 13C, 15N, 18O, 34S), GC-MS et prep-GC-FC. * GEDI (GEochimie Des Impacts, 7 permanents) étudie l’impact des activités anthropiques sur les transferts de matière (particules, carbone et contaminants associés aux particules) sur les surfaces continentales et dans l’océan en utilisant des outils de la géochimie (traceurs isotopiques stables et radioactifs, traceurs élémentaires). Expertises : Géochimie des impacts environnementaux (spectrométrie Gamma, mesure de radio-isotopes par MC-ICPMS, géochimie élémentaire ICPMS-TQ) * GLACCIOS (GLAces et Continents, Climat et IsOtopes Stables, 11 permanents) est focalisée sur la reconstruction de la variabilité climatique passée et présente à partir d'archives en milieu continental et la compréhension des régimes de pluie actuels à partir de la pluie et la vapeur d'eau actuelle. La spécificité de cette équipe est la reconstruction quantitative des variations climatiques et l’étude des processus actuels à partir de l’analyse des isotopes stables de l’eau dans tous ses états physiques. Cette équipe est pionnière dans le développement de nouveaux traceurs et avancées méthodologiques dans l’étude des glaces polaires. Expertises : Climatologie (IRMS « Hydrologie ») * PALEOCEAN (PALEOCEANographie, 12 permanents) étudie, d’une part, l’évolution de l’océan et son rôle dans les changements climatiques (interaction océan -atmosphère, cycle du carbone), de la décennie à quelques millions d’années et effectue des datations absolues pour la synchronisation et la datation des archives climatiques, environnementales et du champ magnétique terrestre, et des sites archéologiques pour l’étude couplée évolution Homme-climat. L’équipe s’intéresse à l’acquisition des signaux dans les archives climatiques utilisées. Expertises : Climatologie, Paléo-océanographie, Sédimentologie, Evolution Homme-Climat (IRMS « Carbonates » δ13C, δ18O, ∆47, ICP-MS, MC-ICP-MS, datations Ar/Ar, K/Ar) * OCEANIS (OCEAN et InterfaceS, 4 permanents) s'intéresse au devenir du carbone organique et inorganique dans les milieux aquatiques plus particulièrement les milieux côtiers, les deltas et les estuaires. Ces derniers se situent à l’interface Terre-Mer et sont des lieux privilégiés de dépôt et de recyclage de matière apportée par les fleuves. Ces environnements côtiers subissent également des pressions anthropiques de différentes natures (pollution, eutrophisation, désoxygénation, acidification). L’équipe développe une approche originale de mesures in-situ de l'oxygène et du pH à l'interface eau-sédiment et du DIC/δ13C de l’eau, afin d’évaluer le rôle des sédiments dans le cycle du carbone et de l’oxygène. Expertises : Géochimie des interfaces “eaux-sédiments” (Analyseur CID/CRDS-δ13C) * CLIMAG (CLImat & MAGnétisme, 6 permanents) développe les 2 thèmes de recherche suivants : i- la reconstitution des environnements passés à partir de l'étude des propriétés magnétiques et physiques des sédiments marins de nombreuses régions océaniques et à différentes échelles de temps (cycles climatiques et variabilité rapide sub-millénaire à centennale); ii- l'étude à haute résolution des variations du champ magnétique terrestre qui constituent un outil de corrélation longue distance et multi-archives. Expertises : climatologie, Magnétisme, Sédimentologie (IRMS « Carbonates ») ### Les équipes impliquées à GEOPS – UP Saclay * ALTS (AltérationS, 10 permanents) cherche à comprendre les processus d’altération au sein de la zone critique à différentes échelles de temps et d’espace, et leur rôle dans les cycles biogéochimiques (C, S, métaux). Elle vise à caractériser la réponse des processus d’altération aux forçages naturels (e.g., climat, tectonique) et quantifier l’impact des activités anthropiques (e.g., activités minières, urbanisation, agriculture). Pour cela, elle étudie les processus d’altération « récents » (< 100 ans) et développe des outils chronologiques adaptés, étudie des épisodes d’altération continentale et l’évolution des conditions environnementales associés et enfin caractérise les processus à différentes résolutions, de l’échelle moléculaire jusqu’aux bassins versants des grands fleuves. Expertises : géochronologie, géochimie & physique de l’altération, isotopes stables traditionnels (H, C, O, N, S par IRMS) et non traditionnels (Li, Sr, Fe, Ni, Cr… par MC-ICP-MS) * HYDRO3G (HydroGéologie, HydroGéochimie, HydroGéophysique) évolue vers le groupe l’HYdrolgie COntinentale (HYCO, 5 permanents) et se focalisera sur la dynamique des hydrosystèmes continentaux dans les différents compartiments de l’hydrologie continentale (incluant le continuum Terre-Mer ; précipitations -fonction “Entrée”-, eaux de surface et eaux souterraines), en relation avec des contraintes anthropiques et/ou climatiques. Elle développe des approches inter- et multidisciplinaires à différentes échelles spatiales (local, bassin versant, l’aquifère) et temporelles (de l’échelle de la réaction au Quaternaire récent) et s’intéresse à la dynamique (qualité et quantité de la ressource) à court ou long termes d’hydrosystèmes variés (cours d’eau, nappes souterraines, lacs). Expertises : hydrologie, hydrogéologie, hydrogéochimie élémentaire, géochimie isotopique (2H, 13C, 18O, 15N, 34S et 14C), géophysique (IRMS « Hydro ») * PDS (Paléoclimats et Dynamique Sédimentaire, 12 permanents) vise à restituer les changements climatiques du Quaternaire à partir d’archives marines et lacustres. Elle s'attache, entre autres, à restituer les changements du cycle du carbone et du cycle de l'eau en lien avec les changements hydrologiques de l’océan et les conditions environnementales régnant sur les continents (précipitations, aridité). Les impacts de tels changements sur les écosystèmes marins (coraux) et sur les modalités de formation (érosion/altération), de transferts (circulations océanique et atmosphérique, apports fluviatiles) et de dépôts des fractions organiques et inorganiques des sédiments sont également abordés. Expertises : climatologie, sédimentologie, érosion et transferts sédimentaires, paléoocéanographie (87Sr/86Sr, εNd par MC-ICPMS) ### Les équipes impliquées à ECOSYS – UP Saclay * Les deux équipes ECOSYS SOL (Sciences du SOL, 34 permanents) et ECOTOXICOLOGIE (16 permanents) fusionneront prochainement pour donner la future équipe SOL&TOX (Sciences du sol et Ecotoxicologie, 50 permanents). Cette nouvelle équipe étudiera le rôle des sols dans les agro-écosystèmes confrontés à des contraintes externes liées aux changements globaux et aux apports de contaminants provenant de la gestion des sols ou des activités anthropiques. L’équipe développera 4 axes de recherche principaux : (1) modéliser l’hétérogénéité des sols à l'échelle poreuse (2) mettre en évidence les facteurs de contrôle de la dynamique de la matière organique du sol et du stockage du C (Ligne IRMS « MO/Molécules », MC-ICPMS), (3) optimiser le recyclage des déchets organiques en agriculture, (4) comprendre le devenir, la dispersion et les impacts des pesticides et autres contaminants organiques sur les sols agricoles, et (5) développer une approche d’écotoxicologie fonctionnelle pour modéliser l’impact des contaminants aux doses sublétales sur les services écosystémiques des sols (Ligne IRMS « MO/Molécules », MC-ICPMS) ### Les équipes impliquées au LOCEAN (partenaire IPSL) * CYBIOM (CYcles BIOgéochimiques Marins : processus et perturbations, 15 permanents) cherche à réduire les incertitudes sur l'évolution du climat et comprendre les effets du changement climatique, notamment les impacts des émissions de CO2 anthropique, sur les écosystèmes, la biodiversité et les ressources marines et sur les perturbations résultant des activités humaines. L’équipe s’intéresse ainsi à l’anthropisation des milieux côtiers (eutrophisation, polluants) sur les cycles biogéochimiques marins du côtier au large (carbone, azote, silicium, soufre & métaux traces). Expertises : Climatologie, Cycles biogéochimiques (C, N, Si, S, métaux), (Géochimie élémentaire et isotopique, MC-ICPMS, IRMS) * PROTEO (PROcessus et inTéractions de fine Echelle Océanique, 18 permanents) visent à une meilleure compréhension des interactions à fine échelle entre la physique océanique, la biogéochimie marine et les écosystèmes, incluant une compréhension fine des processus physiques sous-jacents allant de quelques jours jusqu’à l’inter-annuel à différentes échelles (circulation régionale, (sub)-mésoéchelle, échelles inertielles). Expertises : océanographie, biogéochimie (IRMS « Hydro ») ### Les équipes impliquées du pôle PSE-ENV (accord-cadre IRSN-UP-Saclay) * LELI (Laboratoire sur le devenir des pollutions des sites radioactifs, 8 permanents), créé en janvier 2015 et implanté sur le site de Fontenay-aux-Roses développe une expertise indépendante et de haut niveau dans le domaine des sites et sols pollués par des substances radioactives, des anciens sites miniers d’uranium et des installations de stockage de déchets radioactifs de surface et de subsurface. Expertises : traçage isotopique (U, Th, Pb…), identification des sources de pollution, transfert des contaminants radioactifs, analyses isotopiques par ICPMS (MC-ICPMS) * LETIS : (Laboratoire d'Etude et de recherche sur les Transferts et les Interactions dans les Sous-sols, 9 permanents), situé à Fontenay-aux-Roses en région parisienne, a pour mission principale la mise en œuvre de programmes de recherche dans le domaine de la sûreté des stockages de déchets dans des formations géologiques.
