I had cleaned up my data so that it had just the information that I wanted to use for the project. I also added the population that I had gotten from PopulationPyramid.net for the four years. I did not include 2022 in my data because much of the information was missing when I downloaded the initial data.
We can see that the African countries have the highest infant mortality rate with Asian countries also having some high numbers. The infant mortality rate is the number of deaths among 1,000 live births. As stated while India's infant mortality rate has been reduced in the last 30 years, it is still high in comparison to some of the other countries at the top in population. It was the 2nd highest country in the Asian countries and 5th overall in the top 20 countries in population.
We can see that there is relatively little change in the life expectancy between the years. While India is towards the bottom of the list in the top 20 countries in population, their life expectancy has increased and this has lead them to soon take over China as the most populated country.
India is projected to pass China as the most populated country. There are a few factors that have led to the switch in the most populated country since 1950. One thing is that India's infant mortality rate has decreased by 70% in the last 30 years. Another factor is that China has an aging population meaning that their death rate is also increasing.
