Thanks for sharing this! Wondering if you could share a touch more on the process of getting observable cells into revealjs? Do you automate that somehow?
I'm glad you like it - thanks!
You know, I wrote this notebook for a presentation, which is why it's so sparse on details, since it's really not meant to stand alone. During the presentation, showed how folks can view the page source of the slideshow, which is just plain HTML. And, no, I don't have any automated way to generate it; I just do that by hand. Of course, much of the code is generated by Observable's embedding tools. From there, its just a matter of restructuring that a bit into Reveal's expected format.
If you're interested in something that's a bit more automatic when it comes to moving from Observable to Reveal, you might look at this:

Quarto.org lets you include Observable JS cells (and importing notebook cells from observablehq.com!), and it has a Revealjs output format. Works very nicely!
Yeah, I've used Quarto a bit and definitely like where it's headed. It was on my list of potential things to talk about, in fact. Here's something I wrote in Quarto for my Discrete Math class:

As far as I can tell, you really can't produce that kind of thing by importing a notebook into Quarto because, rather than the code you want to illustrate, you get just the cell name. More generally, I think Quarrto's support for Observable is far behind the other environments (like R and Python) at the moment. It's PDF output, for example, is not good for OJS that produces images.
I know the Quarto folks are working on these things and it might work wonderfully with Observable in a year or so. It's not high on my list of tools to reach for just yet, though.
