**David Eads** [@eads](https://observablehq.com/@eads) David Eads is design and delivery editor at The Chicago Reporter. Eads is a co-founder of the [Invisible Institute](https://invisible.institute/), where he also built [The View From The Ground](http://invisible.institute/view-from-the-ground). He helped create [FreeGeek Chicago](https://www.freegeekchicago.org/), a community-based computer recycling organization. He’s worked on visual journalism teams at the Chicago Tribune, [NPR Visuals](http://blog.apps.npr.org/), and ProPublica Illinois.
