2c:null 2d:["$","title",null,{"children":"L.A. County 2022 General Election Results Trends | Ryan Murphy | Observable"}] 32:T6e4,Hello! 👋 On Election Day I set up this [handy scraper](https://github.com/rdmurphy/scrape-la-county-election-results-2022) that collects election result updates from [LA County RR/CC](https://www.lavote.gov) as they are made available. This makes it possible to track across time how each data release alters the cumulative vote totals and look around for interesting trends/races. Want this data for yourself? [It's available and open source on GitHub](https://github.com/rdmurphy/scrape-la-county-election-results-2022). If you have suggestions or comments please send them my way! Contact info can be found in my profile on Twitter at [@rdmurphy](https://twitter.com/rdmurphy). (Or just send them to me here via Observable comments!) Use the select box below to choose a race and the charts will all update to reflect your selection. All results you see on this page are as of **${journalize.apmonth(latestDate)} ${latestDate.getUTCDate()}, 2022**.

Notes, etc.

The results for **Nov. 8** represents the **initial** ballot count release of the night. This means all of these votes are mail-in ballots tabulated prior to polls closing.
The results for **Nov. 9** represent the **final** ballot count release of election night. This means these totals include (at minimum) all the mail-in ballots tabulated prior to polls closing _and_ all Election Day ballots cast. Technically this release happened on Nov. 9 at nearly 4 a.m., so these totals "belong" to this day just to keep this sane.
The colors are funky, I know. Didn't feel like navigating the web of partisan/non-partisan candidates to craft the perfect color scheme. I wouldn't read anything into them.
