This shader is very cool! I'm studying it to learn how instancing works, as I don't actually need it for the original purpose of debugging 3d models. However, for people who do want to use this for debugging, would you consider releasing it with an open source license? (Right now your notebook is the default license which allows use on other observablehq pages but not on codepen or anywhere else.)

No problem! Instancing is tricky but worth the trouble :) I've changed it to MIT License.
