Macros cannot be employed to allow direct access to JavaScript's native control flows for yield/await—since none of ClojureScript's special forms use them. But they can be approximated by implementing similar constructs. As [pointed out][1], this is not straightforward to implement currently. IIFEs are sometimes wrapped around inner expressions for safe scoping. So any \`yield\` or \`await\` caught inside one of these IIFEs would throw an error. If no value is returned from the IIFE, a block-scope would be sufficient:
