To whom do the losers of feminism direct their resentment? Does it depend on whether they support right-wing populist parties?

This chart examines how individuals classified as Citizens with Gendered Positional Deprivation and Citizens feeling as Losers of Feminism direct their resentment toward different targets, and whether these patterns vary depending on the party family they support. It includes three dimensions of resentful anger: anger toward social norms, toward ideological groups, and toward institutional actors. By exploring these distributions across countries and among voters of different party families – including RWPPs– the visualization highlights how gender-based grievances are channelled toward specific groups or institutions. This allows us to see whether those with stronger feelings of gendered loss express their resentment in similar ways across political contexts, or whether certain political alignments intensify particular forms of anger.

Additionally, bubbles can display the number of voters represented by each party family by selecting the “Count” button. Thus, the size of these bubbles represents the number of voters.
