To whom do the losers of feminism direct their resentment? Does it depend on whether they support right-wing populist parties?

This chart examines how individuals classified as Citizens with Gendered Positional Deprivation and Citizens feeling as Losers of Feminism direct their resentment toward different targets, and whether these patterns vary depending on the party family they support. It includes three dimensions of resentful anger: anger toward social norms, toward ideological groups, and toward institutional actors. By exploring these distributions across countries and among voters of different party families – including RWPPs– the visualization highlights how gender-based grievances are channelled toward specific groups or institutions. This allows us to see whether those with stronger feelings of gendered loss express their resentment in similar ways across political contexts, or whether certain political alignments intensify particular forms of anger.

Additionally, bubbles can display the number of voters represented by each party family by selecting the “Count” button. Thus, the size of these bubbles represents the number of voters.

How anti-feminist resentment relates to electoral behaviour?

This chart provides a descriptive comparison, for the selected country (or All countries), of two gender-related resentment indicators–Citizens with Gendered Positional Deprivation and Citizens feeling as Losers of Feminism– across party families and gender. Each row corresponds to a party family (e.g., ML, MR, RL, RWPP, Other) and displays either the percentage or the total number of cases, depending on the Percentage/Count toggle, for women and men.\n

To make gender differences easier to read, values are plotted around a central zero line: men are shown on the left and women on the right.\nHover over the points to see exact values.\n

Who are the citizens feeling threatened and abandoned by changes in gender roles?

This chart provides a descriptive summary, for the selected country (or All countries), on how two indicators –Citizens with Gendered Positional Deprivation (GPD) and Citizens feeling as Losers of Feminism (LF)– are distributed across the chosen sociodemographic category (e.g., Gender). For each subgroup (e.g., women, men, etc.), the bars display either percentage or count of cases, depending on the Percentage/Count toggle, associated with each indicator.\n

The purpose is to enable within-country comparisons across subgroups and to see how the distribution changes when switching categories (age, education, income, employment status, ideological orientation, and others). Click on the bars to view exact values.\n

What worries the Losers of Feminism? And RWPP voters?
