Whoa I love this! I put Promises.delay(1000); to see it better :)

Slowing it down helped me realize I had an off-by-one rules vs. folds rendering bug! Fixed and slowed slightly to 200ms. Fixed the colors shifting too.

This problem kinda makes me want to explore generalizing this to angled folds.
