Step-by-step instructions

Generate a Yellowdig API key.

Inside Yellowdig, go to Account Settings → API Keys → GENERATE KEY.
Click the icon to copy your new key to your clipboard.

Create a free Observable account.

Click Sign In in the upper-right hand corner of the Observable homepage. Then, follow the prompts to create a new account.

Add your Yellowdig API key to your Observable account.

Go to this page.
Click the New secret button.
Under Key name, enter YD_API_KEY.
Under Key value, paste in your Yellowdig API key.

Fork this dashboard.

Once logged into your Observable account, click on the Fork button in the upper right-hand corner of this page.
This should take you to the Fork that you just created. A popup that says Allow this notebook to access your secrets? should appear. Click OK.

You're done! Now, whenever you access your fork of this page, all you need to do is set a few parameters into the fields below. If you have any questions or concerns about this process, don't hesitate to reach out to us at clientsuccess@yellowdig.com.
