Will it look better than a standard bump chart? How large the amount of data will cause the chart less interpretable? What if all data points are plotted as arcs or squares instead of circles? Whenever I started creating a new component, I would always sketch those ideas using an Observable Notebook. Thanks to the interactivity and reactive dataflow, prototyping becomes an exciting experience. Working in Observable Notebooks makes me feel like collaborating with a very reliable team. As I keep adding ideas to the prototype, the invisible team gathers data in the background, plots the results on screen, discusses details with me through the interactions, and gives feedback immediately on any change in the data or code.
