These are to be used for giving away small denominations of Bitcoin to people in the physical world. This concept also works as a digital gift format, but is less optimal for that application. Ideal for offline value transfer 💸 * Funds can be deposited on a giving note via the LNURL **`payRequest`** standard. * After giving the note to someone, they can withdraw the funds using the LNURL **`withdrawRequest`** standard. * [LNBits](https://lnbits.com) is a nice backend service to try with this (to create the deposit & withdraw LNURLs) * [Blue Wallet](https://bluewallet.io) is an easy app to use to deposit and recommend others use for withdrawal See the LNURL Documents here: https://github.com/lnurl/luds For the more automated version of this project, go to this notebook: https://observablehq.com/d/9353b8cb0eab2d1d We've added fully automated note creation and PDFs for 2-sided printing. **Version - Manual - 0.05**46:T88d,amount = { let text = amountInput let symbol let value let sat let satD let satW let pluralCurrency let buffer let satBuffer = 300 let unixTs = Math.round(Date.now()/1000) let recentTs = unixTs.toString().slice(-4) function makeId(length) { var result = ''; var characters = 'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789'; var charactersLength = characters.length; for ( var i = 0; i < length; i++ ) { result += characters.charAt(Math.floor(Math.random() * charactersLength)); } return result; } let noteID = makeId(5) + "-" + recentTs let type let lnurlD let lnurlW if(text == 'Five'){ value = '5' } else if (text == 'Ten'){ value = '10' } else if (text == 'Twenty'){ value = '20' } else if (text == 'Fifty'){ value = '50' } else if (text == 'One Hundred'){ value = '100' } if(currency == 'USD'){ symbol = '$' pluralCurrency = "Dollars" sat = Math.round(value * 100000000/exchange.USD.last) satD = Math.round(sat/100)*100 + 300; satW = Math.round(sat/100)*100; buffer = Math.round(((satBuffer / 100000000) * exchange.USD.last)*100)/100 } else if (currency == 'EUR'){ symbol = '€' pluralCurrency = "Euros" sat = Math.round(value * 100000000/exchange.EUR.last) satD = Math.round(sat/100)*100 + satBuffer; satW = Math.round(sat/100)*100; buffer = Math.round(((satBuffer / 100000000) * exchange.EUR.last)*100)/100 } if(sequence == 0){ history.length = 0; } else { history.push(sequence) } if (mode == "Manual"){ type = 'self-hosted' lnurlD = lnurlDeposit lnurlW = lnurlWithdrawal } let lastD = lnurlD.slice(-5) let lastW = lnurlW.slice(-5) let seqString = "000" + sequence let seqThree = seqString.substr(seqString.length - 3) let dID = lastD + "~" + seqThree let wID = lastW + "~" + seqThree return { type, sequence, noteID, symbol, value, buffer, sats: {d: satD, w: satW, exact: sat, satBuffer}, text, pluralCurrency, unixTs, dID, wID, history, lnurlD, lnurlW } }47:T284f,
