For many, learning SQL can be difficult because it is very different from common programming languages like JavaScript, Python, or R. Not to worry – our very own [Paul Buffa](https://observablehq.com/@pstuffa?tab=profile) will make SQL easy to learn and perhaps even _fun._\n\nIn this course, you’ll learn the SQL basics for pulling and wrangling data, including: the main SQL clauses (SELECT, FROM, WHERE, GROUP BY, etc.), aggregation functions, joins, window functions and how to impress your friends and colleagues with lightning fast queries. It is geared toward those who work with data and may have some familiarity with SQL, but have not written many queries.
