You then can go on to define your team. - The free team workspace provides the following advantages: - You can share notebooks with an unlimited number of team members. - You and other team members can work on a notebook simultaneously, with changes visible as you type. This is called [multiplayer editing](https://observablehq.com/@observablehq/multiplayer-editing), and enables fast collaboration. - Your team can have specialized roles: viewer, editor, or owner. See [Team roles](https://observablehq.com/@observablehq/features-of-team-and-enterprise-tiers-draft#teamRoles) in the [Advantages of team workspaces](https://observablehq.com/@observablehq/advantages-of-team-workspaces?collection=@observablehq/workspaces) notebook. - Your team's notebooks are public, meaning that others (even outside your team) can view them and leave comments. - Changes are visible to viewers immediately (there is no Publish step); this is called **live editing**. - The edit history of your notebooks is also public. - A fork of a public notebook will itself also be public. - Only you and your team can edit the notebooks (only team members can edit). - You can share your notebooks with all of the members of your team. - (Workbooks created in a team workspace can only be shared with team members.) - Sharing includes, if you wish, the ability to edit your notebooks. - See [Sharing](https://observablehq.com/@observablehq/sharing) for more details. - If your needs change, you can convert to one of the other team workspaces.4a:[] 29:{"id":"b0cbe0bafa674271","slug":null,"title":"Team and individual workspaces","thumbnail":"c9e317d8bf6b45081f128503e4af50642051187acba52337e7d9956d7ee0ad8a","access_level":"public","create_time":"$D2023-01-30T02:34:29.094Z","update_time":"$D2023-01-30T02:34:29.094Z","view_time":null,"first_public_time":"$D2023-01-30T02:34:29.094Z","has_unpublished_edits":null,"fork":true,"stars":0,"starred":false,"owner":{"type":"team","id":"716d6fd53ca3e910","login":"v-dastkhosh2014","name":"vahid dastkhosh","avatar_url":"https://avatars-next.observableusercontent.com/e785906d5ec6ba0cc5e9622d27edc1b102740b3b9ef15736cd5e0243fd3adb9f","tier":"starter_2024","bio":"","following":false},"version":1106,"publish_version":null,"role":null,"authored":false,"authors":[{"type":"individual","id":"066c5b7ab26e93ad","login":"v-dastkhosh2014","name":"vahid dastkhosh","avatar_url":"https://avatars-next.observableusercontent.com/e785906d5ec6ba0cc5e9622d27edc1b102740b3b9ef15736cd5e0243fd3adb9f","tier":null,"bio":"","following":false}],"members":[{"type":"individual","id":"066c5b7ab26e93ad","login":"v-dastkhosh2014","name":"vahid dastkhosh","avatar_url":"https://avatars-next.observableusercontent.com/e785906d5ec6ba0cc5e9622d27edc1b102740b3b9ef15736cd5e0243fd3adb9f","tier":null,"role":"editor"}],"comments":[],"custom_thumbnail":false,"trashed":false,"lapsed":null,"subscribed":null,"forks":0,"collection":null,"type":"notebook","body":{"titling":"auto","title":"Team and individual workspaces","cells":[{"id":0,"value":"# Team and individual workspaces","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"md","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","tool":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"","database":"$undefined"},{"id":1066,"value":"This is one of three related notebooks that describe Observable team and individual workspaces:","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"md","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","tool":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"","database":"$undefined"},{"id":1065,"value":"\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n
