It is geared toward folks in the early stages of their JavaScript learning journey. Even if you’ve never touched JavaScript before, you are encouraged to join! \n\n\nDo you already work with data in other languages or tools (e.g. R, Python or Excel) but want to dip your toes into JavaScript for data analysis and visualization? Do you want to use JavaScript for data visualization, but find your work delayed by switching back to another language for even the smallest data wrangling or aggregation step? Want to build some core knowledge about JavaScript arrays and how to work with them? This course is for you! \n____","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"md","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","tool":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"","database":"$undefined"},{"id":120,"value":"## Sessions","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"md","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","tool":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"","database":"$undefined"},{"id":294,"value":"details(\n md`\n### What are arrays, and how do I work with them?\n** April 19th **\n- Meet Observable notebooks\n- JavaScript arrays: structure, terminology, exploring, accessing data in arrays\n- Array map, arrow functions\n- First chart with Observable Plot `\n)","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","tool":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":306,"value":"details(\n md`### Essential tools for data work\n** April 20th **\n- Data wrangling in JavaScript: Filter, select, transform, sort\n- Meet Arquero (a JavaScript library for data wrangling)\n- Observable Plot continued `\n)","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","tool":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":307,"value":"details(\n md`### Common data wrangling methods\n** April 26th **\n- Meet Observable notebooks\n- JavaScript arrays: structure, terminology, exploring, accessing data in arrays\n- Array map, arrow functions\n- Observable Plot continued `\n)","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","tool":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":309,"value":"details(\n md`### Basic analysis\n** April 27th **\n- Exploratory data analysis continued\n- Observable Plot continued`\n)","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"ojs","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","tool":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"$undefined","database":"$undefined"},{"id":322,"value":"___\n## Course Format\n- 4x 1-hour live events","pinned":false,"hidden":false,"mode":"md","author":"$undefined","summary":"$undefined","tool":"$undefined","providerMetadata":"$undefined","attachments":"$undefined","output":"","database":"$undefined"},{"id":324,"value":"
