could this be added to the left hand side bar similar to the observable tutorials https://observablehq.com/@observablehq/learning-observable-introduction?collection=@observablehq/intro-to-observable
Perhaps then it would be possible to have a persistent (return to Atlas site there too)
Not on this cell but related to the top. I assume we will be trying to have Adaptation Atlas where it says Periscopic. Will we also be able to have 'By' so there are some authors. i guess this depends on how the conversation goes with Periscopic
We are working on treatments for the table of contents. The link you cited is actually showing an Observable Collection in the sidebar (every one of those items is a separate notebook). We would likely package all spotlights in their own collection, but this is separate from navigation of sections within a notebook.
As for the items at the top, this is because this notebook is in Periscopic's workspace. Atlas branding and authorship can happen once notebooks are transferred to an Atlas-specific workspace.
A challenge to read with two y axes. With the two below, not sure it warrants giving it space. Or could make it much smaller just crop / livestock that is responsive to the hazard selected below.
agrred could just remove the LHS and make a two color legend? Also order the RHS so that the single, then two, then three combos go from top to bottom,.
Would suggest simplifying this graphic, just showing the total exposure to any climate hazard for crop and livestock, historical and future. THEN using the percent breakdown below to dig into the details. Will simplify a lot.
We're recommending removing this chart. We'll then reorder the charts to have the % of VoP at risk across hazards chart, and then the top commodities in terms of value chart.
-is there no hazard so we understand what % of hazard is not at risk?
- can mouse over include absolute number of VoP and not only %.
- This seems to me that it woudl go above the bar charts with the story being
% of VoP at risk across hazards and then top commodities in terms of value
We'll be updating this chart soon with a new iteration that includes no hazards, absolute number VOP in the tooltip, reorders this chart above the top commodities chart, updating the order to group crops together and livestock together. We recommend the chart shouldn't collapse when there are 0 values for the hazards, which keeps formatting/height consistent (so the chart doesn't jump around when selecting different admins regions)
We have insights in mind that get at the concepts of type of livestock and crop with greatest exposure for the selected hazard. Let's assess once those are in if additional insights are necessary.
Noted. We've done some initial checks against the source data and it matches, so we would like Alliance team to verify as well. We'll also do more dedicated data QA later in the process.
