I would like to represent the plastic pollution by region and by country, but for the moment I have only managed to draw the map, I don't know how to incorporate the datasets that I have with that information in the visualization. On the other hand, regarding the data that I found, I consider that the degree of uncertainty around the veracity of the data is high. Knowing exactly where and how much plastic waste is generated is very difficult, since the waste collection and monitoring systems vary greatly between countries and depend on the regulations and the resources available, and therefore, on the level of development and political will of each country. Based on the information I have found, I would like to further explore how these data are collected and what countries and entities that take these metrics can do to reduce the uncertainty present in the data.
