Yeah you're right, I was just thinking of it as type of treemap, but Wattenberg definitely did provide a strong name for it. Will update. I've had second thoughts about the better dataset to demo this, so I'm going to switch the notebook to a set that better illustrates what the jigsaw is good for (highly hierarchical classification of college majors over many years) and republish. Do you have a use case for the jigsaw map?

Looking forward to the "updated" version! re:use case, well, not any more; it might have had some use at my previous job. But I'm also just curious about how it holds up "in practice" now
