Each time, a number of different questions are used in combination to estimate what occupation a person has (if any). The following chart compares the gender split of these occupations between 2006 and 2016. It should be noted that the method by which occupation has been inferred from census responses has changed throughout the years, mostly in an effort to reduce instances where *"Other"* remained the only choice.
