Hi Dunstan!

I recently came into possession of a pen plotter and thought I'd give it a test drive. After fiddling for a few hours this emerged out of the aether. 

It immediately reminded me of how sperm whales sleep [ vertically ] (https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSTjO5ALp4UT0Quz97pZt0YzpbimP0HhMK22A2Km_PL5UjPFOzOqVjXzmcc&s=10), but also a choir huddled together singing, with the swirls and rays representing sound radiating out. 

I spent some time getting sone different shots of the scene, and managed to find a few where the the swirl pattern mostly avoided the corners of the canvas for a nice soft oval in the later variants.
