some very strange and wonderful phrases happen over time, though for my taste it eventually gets a bit "far" from the original... thus one of the things I'm working on is a sort of oscillating path where it goes "out" for awhile, but then turns back in the general direction of the original, then goes out in a new direction again (something like forager mode)

agreed. seems to be a lot that one could do with this. and interesting how its so much simpler and more instantly composition-tweakable than a big data ai approach would be. and, again, Observable allows the tweaking reconfiguration to be done so easily and in human time
