Data apps

Observable offers a simple model for hosting data apps that allows you to scale your dashboards. Rather than charging by views, we charge based on the number of viewers to encourage developers to make richer displays of data that are viewed more frequently. We also don't charge for the size of your data app or the number of deploys, so you can build without hesitation. Our rates are driven by the number of viewers who have access to your app, which we find is more predictable than other usage based models.

Our Pro plan has two types of users: editors and viewers. Viewers have a lower rate than editors, given they are limited to only viewing data apps and not the development. Enterprise customers have a custom pricing model that works to scale with large teams and number of viewers. To learn more, contact our sales team at sales@observablehq.com.
